Emmerson Packaging Policy Statement

On January 1, 2012, the California Transparency in Supply Chains Act went into effect in California. The act requires retailers and manufacturers doing business in California to increase public awareness and disclose efforts to eliminate slavery and human trafficking from its product supply chain.

Emmerson Packaging has always been committed to the protection of human rights and conducting business in an ethical and responsible manner. We are firmly against any form of forced labour, human trafficking or slavery and require all suppliers to comply with all applicable laws related to labour regulations and employment practices. Any unlawful or prohibited conduct will not be condoned by Emmerson Packaging and violations not adequately corrected may result in termination of the business relationship.

Emmerson Packaging has provided appropriate training to all employees having direct responsibility for our supply chain management. In addition, Emmerson Packaging‘s standard purchase orders and supplier qualification questionnaires will be amended to clearly mandate adherence with all relevant laws pertaining to human rights and ethical labour practices. Audits by Emmerson Packaging employees may be conducted on operations with a higher risk potential.
